STRUBEN'S VALLEY — Give up your second-hand clothes and help South African school kids.

Do you have old clothes that you would like to donate but not sure how?

Hirsch’s in Struben’s Valley has teamed up with DSTV lifestyle show Earthbeat to collect second-hand clothes to raise money for sustainable education programmes.

Money raised from the collection of these clothes will go toward lesson plans on sustainable living for schools selected by Hirsch’s.

Clothes2Good will then sort and send on the clothes to Pathways Learning Centre in Gauteng, where clothes will be rehabilitated and sold to raise funds,” said Earthbeat presenter, Kerry Dell.

According to Hirsch’s public relations officer Amoryn Golden, they will have branded collection boxes at the store where members of the public can bring packets of unwanted clothing. The campaign will run until the end of June.

Clothes2Good is a national company that purchases second-hand clothes to raise money for programmes for schools in different areas.
