Bianca flies SA flag high in Doha

Visions Gymnastics star pupil Bianca Mann finished in sixth position on the uneven bars.

She was representing South Africa at the FIG Artistic World Challenge Cup in Doha last week.

She qualified for the finals in eighth spot with a score of 12.200.

In the finals, she improved her performance by two places, achieving a score of 12.625.

Bianca is aiming to qualify into Team South Africa for the All-Africa Games and the World Student Games later this year.

Her other results from the preliminaries were 12th in the vault, 13th on the beam and 24th on the floor.

Angela Maguire, also from Gauteng competed in the event and finished in 13 position for the beam qualifications round. Angela’s other preliminary results were 16th in the vault, 19th on the bar and 23rd on the floor.

Both athletes will stay in Doha for a training camp before traveling to Europe for the next FIG World Challenge Cup in Slovenia.
