Sugnet Cornelius – Mrs SA semi-finalist
NORTH RIDING – Mrs South Africa semi-finalist Sugnet Cornelius has offered her services to the Ranbdurg SPCA.
Sugnet Cornelius, a semi-finalist in the Mrs South Africa competition, gives a paws up for the animals.
Cornelius (34) resides in Struben’s Valley. She has entered Mrs South Africa and has been drafted to a semi-finalist position, ranking in the top 100. “I came to the SPCA because I love all animals. I really want to offer my services to help this very worthwhile organisation,” said Cornelius. She is a devoted wife and mother of four beautiful children, with a passion for people.
General manager Craig Rudman said, “I am happy to be working with such a pillar of the community. We hope to keep a successful working relationship with Sugnet.” According to Cornelius she will helping mostly with gathering financial donations as well as blankets and food. “I hope to make a major difference to the SPCA now that I know what they need and how I can contribute,” commented Cornelius.
As Mrs South Africa 2016 she hopes to be an inspiration to others. “I have many opportunities where I can inspire women who face difficulties. I want to be there when they need someone to inspire them to keep their heads held high or when they just need a few words of encouragement.”
In addition to her love for animals, she devotes herself to fighting against women and child abuse. She is involved in numerous outreach programmes in and around Roodepoort and Krugersdorp. Cornelius keeps herself healthy by regularly competing in cycling challenges such as Spar Ladies 10km race and
the 10km Sowetan race in November 2014.
