Florries withdraws from Easter Festival

This comes after the team suffered numerous injuries during games against Rustenburg and Gmmies Rugby Clubs in Potchefstroom.

At one stage, the team had 18 players during the games.

The school has indicated they will take players from the second team but after they return from playing against Monash next week.

The Best of the West is a sports festival pitting the top schools against each other in rugby, hockey and netball. The games will take place at Krugersdorp High School from the 2 April to 6 April.

Hoërskool Roodepoort rugby’s first team will be the sole representative.

They will face off against CBC Boksburg on Thursday morning.

On Saturday they will play against Pretoria Boys XV the finish off their festival against Jabulani Rugby Club on Monday.
