Last Friday afternoon saw the Witpoortjie/Mindalore area hit by a thunderstorm cum flash flood that had residents clambering for a safe dry spot.
The storm were so severe the Caxton office roof started sprouting leaks that resembled mini rivers, while growling thunder and lightning punctuated the afternoon.
A tree on the corner of Jan van Rooyen Street and Trezona Avenue felt the wrath of Mother Nature as lightning split it in half and scattered its branches across the pavement.
