STRUBEN'S VALLEY — Business expert, Steve Sutton offers tips to increase every business’ value.

Hisch’s retail store held its monthly networking breakfast on 26 March with Business Doctor, Steve Sutton as guest speaker.

Residents and local business owners braved the cold and wet morning to interact with the business guru and share expertise in improving all spheres of business.

Sutton spoke about ‘building your business to sell’ as the best motivation for success.

“Buyers look at how stable your revenue is, this is called recurring revenue. You need to look into the scalability factor, in other words, can you teach your skill to an employee in the company?”

Sutton said the best way to scale the growth of a business is with a customer score. This is where you ask your customers to rate your services and getting referrals.

“We host the breakfast every last Thursday of the month and it is free for everyone to attend. We have great speakers that come through and some are business people in the area and that makes them more relatable. Everyone that is interested is welcome to attend,” said Hirsch’s public relations officer, Amoryn Golden.

Sutton provides surveys to businesses looking to establish and develop market value. This, in turn, helps them achieve growth.
