Resident’s association invites community to join
WELTEVREDEN PARK – Rosenberg explains that its safer to be part of a RA.
The Panorama Resident’s Association (PRA) is ready to take in new members as the new financial year started on 1 March.
PRA chairman Jon Rosenberg explained that the association currently has 100 members but there is always room to grow.
“We have come a long way since the association started years ago,” said Rosenberg.
“The thing that makes our RA so successful is the fact that everyone in the PRA communicates with each other. The communication process has been made easier by setting up a Whatsapp group. Things that are important to the community are discussed and we have a strict rule of no-chatting in the group as it’s a nuisance for everyone in the group.”
He said that information is still shared via emails and this includes a monthly newsletter and all of the relevant Ward 126 and Ward 89 info.
“The membership includes a PRA membership sign that is then put up at the gate to indicate that this house/family is part of the PRA. “It helps to curb crime as criminals think twice before breaking in as they know that the police, security companies and residents are all a tight knit,” concluded Rosenberg.
