Hats off to City Parks

RANDPARK RIDGE – City Parks showed up and cut the overgrown grass along Beyers Naudé Drive.

Overgrown grass along Beyers Naudé Drive close to John Vorster Road had been an eyesore until City Parks pitched up and cut it.

Ward 126 councillor Mike Tonkin was surprised to see that the grass had been cut during a site inspection on 23 March.

“We attack and break down entities because they never do their jobs. But this time I have to take my hat off to City Parks,” Tonkin said.

The councillor said that tall grass is a safety hazard as residents are unable to see if a car is approaching from around the corner and these motorists have to take chances to cross intersections and endanger themselves and their passengers.

“The area now looks neat and I have to thank City Parks for listening to the complaints and helping out Ward 126,” concluded Tonkin.
