The first thing a colleague said to me after the Proteas lost in the semi final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 to New Zealand, was, “There they choke again. They are chokers.” It is an opinion held by many South African cricket fans, and the issue is addressed by the Proteas players and staff themselves.
