Arthur Matthews Primary School selected its head boy, girl and their deputies last week.
Karabo Molapo and Lesedi Johane this years head boy and girl while Amaarah Nordien and Tristan Le Roux are the deputies.
The four were chosen after a strict selection process and principal Raymond Peters is proud of the selections made.
“The school identified student leaders who were capable of bringing pride to the school and we want to congratulate them on being selected,” said Peters.
In Athletics news, Udeme Okon has qualified to be part of the Gauteng provincial team.
This occured after he came third in the U/10 100 metre sprint at the Gauteng Championships in Germiston earlier this month.
Udeme had come in first position in the 80 and 100 metre events at the D12 Athletics and Roodepoort Championships held in Roodepoort Athletics stadium.
