Assault trumps Muldersdrift arrests

MULDERSDRIFT — Arrests made in assault and domestic violence cases.

Two men were arrested for assault grievous bodily harm on 10 March in Muldersdrift.

“Muldersdrift Police arrested two males between the ages of 24 and 33 years old for assault,” said Muldersdrift SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya.

Both suspects appeared at the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court for their first appearance.

WO Ngwenya said cases ranging from domestic violence and reckless driving were opened with the arrests made from their operations. “Another case of assault was opened and that was a domestic violence case. One person was taken into custody for reckless and negligent driving.”

The police encourage community members to take initiative in reporting crime and assisting in the fight against crime.
