Members of the Roodepoort police performed in and around Roodepoort CBD last week. Suspects were arrested for crimes including common assault, assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of stolen goods, theft out of vehicles and housebreaking and common theft.
After they were arrested the individuals were detained at Roodepoort Police Station pending their court appearances.
20 of the suspects appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Monday 2 March, Roodepoort Police spokesperson Nonhlanhla Khumalo confirmed.
