Revenue open day for residents
ROODEPOORT – City of Johannesbuirg's revenue shared services centre's open day which was held in Roodepoort Civic Centre on 28 February brought a sigh of relief to residents after they had their services resolved.
Residents came in numbers to the City of Johannesburg’s Revenue Shared Services Centre open day on 28 February at Roodepoort Civic Centre to have their service queries resolved.
The City’s expert customer relations agents started assisting the customers as early as 8am.
On the day, residents were assisted by various departments – from the billing staff, cashiers for collection, property rates, geo-metric information system, land and information system, meter readers, customer service centre staff, expanded social package, and the City’s entities’ –w hich are Johannesburg Water and City Power – technicians.
Residents were also in good spirit after they had made arrangements to settle their outstanding accounts with one pensioner saying, “I’m so happy that I was finally helped.”
Director of Communications and Stakeholder Management Kgamanyane Maphologela informed, “As part of demonstrating to our customers that we are a caring City and fast tracking service delivery, this was precisely the reason why we dedicated the entire day to assist our customers with all sorts of queries.”
“Residents were encouraged to attend as this is a service that is brought directly to their door step,” Maphologela said,
Revenue Shared Services Centre Department used the open-day strategy as a platform– not only to create awareness but to educate the community on the services and the products that it offers.
