Clearwater Mall evacuated after bomb threat
The Record received information that Clearwater Mall was evacuated following a bomb threat this morning (2 March).
At about 10 am the Mall received a phone call from a male saying that he has planted four bombs on the property, Clearwater Mall marketing manager Cecile Braun confirmed.
“We immediately contacted the Honeydew Police,” she said.
“It is standard procedure to evacuate the building given such a threat and we did so.”
Braun said that the Saps Bomb Disposal Squad is currently on the scene.
