Man killed in taxi accident

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics from the Johannesburg West branch arrived on scene and found the male patient lying in the middle of the road.

The taxi had stopped a few metres away on the side of the road.

Paramedics discovered that the man had sustained fatal injuries to the head and chest after an assessment.

Nothing could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on the scene.

The pedestrian had apparently failed to notice the oncoming vehicle.
