Dear Owner/Body Corporate/Tenant/Managing Agent/Business Owner

I am a resident from the Wilgeheuwel area and drive to Sandton each day. What I see is not very encouraging and/or pleasant. I note how our area is going backward instead of forward due to the shocking state of the pavements and overgrown curbs of the roads. The “squatters in the delicious monster” on the main road at Rock Cottage – sleeping and camping out in the mornings. Don’t get me wrong I have empathy, but this is not the place to squat and numbers seem to increase as the days go by.

A thought crossed my mind and I wondered if you would please consider cleaning up by cutting the lawn and cleaning up the pavement as well as the verge of the road (grass growing in the road so the water cannot flow easily to the drains when it rains) outside/in front of your home/complex/shopping centre/business and possibly we could feel and be proud of where we live and/or do business.

It is so sad to see how “grotty” our area has become and we all know “the powers that be” are certainly not going to clean up the pavements etc., so we need to do it ourselves as the alternate is not an option due to the fact that our properties and area is on its way to just becoming a dump.

I trust you would seriously consider my suggestion by helping to clean up! I trust that you will not take offence to my suggestion and make a difference – we can if we all do our bit and stand together by keeping our area clean and beautiful. Not for anyone else other than ourselves.

I must thank those people who already do their bit by cleaning their pavements, cutting the lawn outside their properties. One can actually see what a difference it already makes. Thank you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my note I sincerely appreciate it and I still have faith that most people will try their utmost to “do their bit”.
