Municipal meet-and-greet postponed
WELTEVREDEN PARK – Prior arrangements force entities to cancel Ward 126 clean-up.
The municipal meet-and-greet that was supposed to take place on 23 February in Ward 126 has been cancelled by the City of Johannesburg.
Councillor Mike Tonkin explained that the various entities still have to finish a previous clean-up that they were busy with in southern Joburg.
“During December the entities were busy with a clean-up that they had to stop halfway because the employees had to go on leave. This means that they have to complete the previous project on 23 February.”
“Depending on the City’s schedule, the Ward 126 meet-and-greet will take place somewhere in June or July. I will do my best to keep the residents in the loop of any new developments,” concluded Tonkin.
