Councillor complains about service delivery
WELTEVREDEN PARK – Residents have the power to change their suburb, says Ward 126 councillor Mike Tonkin.
In an effort to curb slow service delivery by various entities around Joburg, Ward 126 councillor Mike Tonkin urged residents to log their queries.
“If you have any queries or concerns, log them by calling the responsible entity, and if nothing happens within a week, notify me and I will follow up with the responsible entity.”
Here is a list of all of the entities that residents can call with their various issues:
- JRA – to report a faulty traffic light or cable theft send an SMS with either ‘outages’ or ‘cable theft’ in the text and JRA will call back.
- Pikitup on 011 375 5918 – to report dumping or any illegal dumping issues
- City Power on 011 490 7900 – to report any smart meter or power outages .
“If all else fails than residents can call the Ward Inspector Linda Hlatshwayo to take the issue up for further investigation,” concluded Tonkin.
Details: Linda Hlatshwayo 011 761 0360.
