Water back on soon
Despite Rand Water yesterday announcing that Roodepoort will not be affected by the water outage, Witpoortjie residents found themselves without water this morning.
According to Eleanor Mavimbela, spokesperson for Joburg Water, there were indeed no water interruption scheduled for Roodepoort, only for Krugersdorp. Due to the fact that Witpoortjir borders on Krugersdorp, Rand Water unfortunately had to close one of the valves that affects Witpoortjie in order to do repairs on it.
Mavimbela said the water would be back on by 3pm.
