New exhibition provokes feelings

BRYANSTON – A Jennifer Morrison solo exhibition can be enjoyed in Bryanston.

The new solo painting exhibition by Jennifer Morrison at Graham’s Fine Art Gallery, Bryanston, will stir up a mixture of emotions in you. The South African-born London-based artist is inspired by nature to paint abstract art with carefully chosen colours and shapes that explore juxtaposition, repetition, movement and rhythm.

“What makes her work special is the use of clean colours,” says the gallery’s paintings and sculpture specialist Louise Sparrow. “It’s her feelings on the canvas: how she sees the world.” Sparrow adds that many people will relate to the colour and vibrancy in the paintings. “A Jennifer Morrison painting, forever in time will be a reservoir of emotions,” says Graham Britz, director of the gallery, as well as Cube Gallery and Raisonné Publishing.

The exhibition includes small watercolour collages. Morrison has exhibited in group shows in London and New York, and had solo exhibitions at the Arndean Gallery, Cork Street, and at the Coningsby Gallery in London.
