Head-on collision fatal for two

The head-on collision involved two vehicles and four people and occurred on Hendrik Potgieter Road.

According to ER 24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw the driver of the one vehicle had fortunately not sustained any injuries.

However, the collision proved fatal for two elderly women that were travelling in the other vehicle. A third passenger, also an elderly woman, remains in critical condition.

“ER24 paramedics were on scene and transported the critical patient to Life Florida Clinic for urgent treatment,” Rossouw said.

“The cause of the head-on collision is still unknown but authorities were on scene and will conduct a further investigation.”
