Relaxing day out for women

MULDERSDRIFT – Ladies in the community get more than just a meal at Sarda's ladies brunch.

The conference room at Usambara in Muldersdrift was filled with women from all walks of life for Sarda’s ladies’ brunch on 24 January.

Ranging from young and old, the room came alive with girly chit-chat and fairy lights that adorned the curtains. The women started arriving at 10.30am, looking forward to a day of pampering, inspirational talks and wonderful company.

The organisation’s branch secretary Nicole Christie said the turnout was both overwhelming and appreciated from the women in the community.

“It was a great success. We want to thank all the special women that joined us, as well as the companies and individuals who sponsored prizes.”

Speaking of prizes, Sarda’s fundraiser Julia Morris gave away amazing vouchers during the lucky draw. The day included delicious meals and included an array of female guest speakers.

There was a talk on financial management, encouraging women to take responsibility for their will and other nuggets that are often forgotten or left to the husband.

At the end of the day, wonderful prizes were given to the raffle ticket buyers, which included giveaways from Avon.
