Due to the national power grid being highly constrained as well as unforeseen technical problems at power stations, Eskom has started at 11am with stage one load shedding.
The power utility has asked both residential customers as well as corporate customers to switch off non-essential appliances.
The load shedding will continue until 10pm.
Eskom also sai this will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday
