Man falls from scaffolding

HONEYDEW – Man (27) is in critical condition, taken to Flora Clinic.

A 27-year-old man is in critical condition after falling 5m down from scaffolding at a construction site in Honeydew on 18 January.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said that the incident occurred along Beyers Naudé Drive, near the Honeydew Police Station.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found several people around the injured man,” she said.

“It is understood that the man landed on his back during the fall. He was assessed and it was found that he sustained multiple injuries.”

The man was treated and taken to Flora Clinic for further treatment.

Questions were sent to Honeydew Police spokseperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs and comment is awaited.
