DA to have their say on e-toll findings
DA aims to present its own position on the findings of the e-toll review panel on 20 January.
Following the release of a report by the e-toll assessment panel, DA Gauteng Provincial leader, John Moodey and DA Gauteng Shadow MEC for Roads and Transport, Neil Campbell will present the DA’s position on the findings of the e-toll review panel on 20 January in Johannesburg.
DA will also look at the proposed alternatives to the panel’s recommendations.
Gauteng Premier David Makhura released a report by the e-toll assessment panel at a briefing in Johannesburg on 15 January.
The report which the Premier released includes 50 recommendations on how to improve the current form of e-tolls.
He said that motorist will still have to pay for the upgraded roads, and suggested that everyone who uses the roads pay the flat rate.
