Woman successfully resuscitated
WELTEVREDEN PARK – Paramedics use CPR to save the live of the woman who collapsed on the side of the road.
A woman in her ’40s who collapsed on Hendrik Potgieter Road in Weltevreden Park on 12 January, had to be resuscitated.
According to ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing, their paramedics arrived on scene, close to Albert Street, and found members of the public around the woman who had collapsed.
“She was lying on the side of the road. She was unresponsive. Paramedics initiated CPR,” explained Bodasing.
After 10 minutes, the patient’s vital signs returned. She was transported to Helen Joseph Hospital. The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
