Criminals nabbed after chase off

RANDPARK RIDGE — Criminals are nabbed with stolen equipment in stolen car.

Three suspected housebreakers were arrested in Randpark Ridge on 8 January.

Londoloza Security Company was called to the scene by a resident and a chase ensued between the company and suspects. With the assistance of the West Rand Flying Squad, the suspects were arrested on 14th Avenue.

“A client called us when they saw people entering her neighbour’s house,” said the company’s spokesperson Allan Baudry. “We immediately called the police for back-up. After a chase, three people were apprehended on 14th Avenue by the Flying Squad. The suspects were travelling in a white Toyota Conquest and there was a TV in the backseat.”

Karen du Plessis, public relations officer for the West Rand Flying Squad, said the case is still under investigation.

“We have not confirmed it as yet, but we do suspect that the vehicle the suspects were travelling in, was stolen, the registration is CSM 858 GP.”

The three have been charged with house breaking and were found in possession of a plasma TV and cellphones.
