Final breakfast run for 2014
STRUBEN'S VALLEY – Clearwater Chapter Harley Davidson riders head out on their last breakfast run for 2014.
The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) based at the Harley Davidson Clearwater, also known as the Clearwater Chapter, had their last breakfast run of the year on 7 December.
At around 7.30am at Harley headquarters, the riders started arriving with their trademarked engine/exhaust sounds that equate to a heavy burble that you can hear for kilometres.
After a short briefing, the marshals discussed the route with the riders and explained that they will take a circular route from Clearwater through Broederstroom and Hartebeespoort Dam where they will finally end up in Warmbad (Bela-Bela) at about lunch time.
“It was more of a lunch run than a breakfast run, but we decided to take our time to complete the 200km route,” said H.O.G. member and marshal on the day, Craig Hardman.
“These runs are all well organised as the marshals apply strict rules when it comes to the riders on the road and every rider has to stay in formation for their own safety.”
He added that the group arrived in time for lunch at Bela-Bela, concluding a successful year for the Clearwater Chapter.
