Johnny Glegg performs in the garden

“Come rain or shine, Johnny Clegg will perform,” were the words that came out of the speakers as a downpour of rain fell at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden.

The rain fell an hour before Johnny Clegg and his band were due to take the stage, with none refusing to leave the venue.

Many fans were hiding under their umbrellas as they waited for the rain to pass. Just as quickly as the heavens opened up, the rain stopped in time to see Clegg perform some of his biggest hits for the crowd.

Although there was drizzle about, Clegg heat it up on the stage and soon enough the crowd stopped huddling and danced along to the music.
