Anrike de Vos, a 15-year-old pupil at Hoërskool Roodepoort recently was awarded an internship at the prestigious Roodepoort Figures modelling agency.
Part of the internship is an opportunity for the girl who gets involved in the most social outreach projects to go to New York.
This past weekend Anrike spent a day at the Friends of Rescued Animals (Fora) in Lewisham, lending a hand wherever this non-profit organisation (NPO) needed her on the day.
“I am not just doing this for the show. I am really an animal lover and even volunteer when the spotlight is not on me,” Anrike said as she was brushing the fur of a cat.
Ruben Hensberg of Fora also used the occasion to appeal to the public for cat and dog food donations, especially the tinned variety.
