Mos rock the Cradle

STERKFONTEIN — The Cradle of Humankind came alive on 15 November for the annual MoRock Festival.

Music lovers braved the cold and wet conditions and made their way to the MoRock Festival on 15 November at the Cradle of Humankind.

The men got in the spirit of the cause and proudly displayed their Mos while enjoying the sweet sounds from local artists. In celebration of the month of Movember (November), proceeds from the concert went toward the international cause and its plight to raise awareness for men’s health, including prostate cancer.

“The bands put out an amazing performance and set the stage for everyone to rock the cradle,” said Fraser van der Watt, the festival’s organiser. “We are looking forward to next year’s MoRock and we will once again rock the Cradle.”

Speaking of bands, aKing, Blazing Gooch and the Carolina Bridal Party kept the crowd entertained into the wee hours of the morning. Which worked out perfectly as camping sites were provided for those that love to rock through the night.

A full bar and several food stalls were available on the day. Van Der Watt said they plan on making the annual festival as part of the global cause an even bigger success and continue to raise awareness during the month of November.
