At approximately 2pm yesterday, 30 October, eight armed suspects robbed a Pep outlet in Goldman Street, Florida, according to police spokesperson Lydia Dikolomelo.
The public informed police of the robbery, after which they started looking for a white Toyota Quantum minibus. The vehicle was spotted on Westlake Road. It started to accelerate when they noticed the police who gave chase and managed to stop it at the corner of Main Reef Road and Hebbard Street. The eight suspects were arrested and three firearms and an undisclosed amount of money were recovered.
The police was lauded for the quick arrest by residents on social media.
