Free family walk in greenbelt area
WELTEVREDEN PARK – Councillor urges community to participate in free walk in and around the beautiful greenbelt area.
Ward 126 residents will have the opportunity to discover their beautiful greenbelt during a community walk on 9 November.
Resident and organiser, Jan von der Heyde said,“It is a good excuse for residents to get out with their families and get some healthy exercise by walking around in the greenbelt and spruit area for an hour and a half. The walk will start at Cockspur and Tafelboom roads at about 8am and it’s free, residents don’t need to enter for the walk; they can just show up and come and enjoy the outing – bring along your dogs. Everyone is welcome.”
Local councillor Mike Tonkin agreed and said, “It will be a leisurely walk and we will take our time and stop to look at the beautiful sights and sounds around us.”
