Cable theft and illegal connections rampant on South Road

For years illegal electricity connections and cable theft in the areas surrounding Princess informal settlement has been a problem authorities just can not seem to nip in the but. Reader Jacobus Myburgh sent in this picture taken on South Road. The cables along this road either has been stolen or is being used for illegal connections. These cables were hanging dangerously low and if taken into account that the street lights were burning, it probably is live.
