Man dismembered by moving train
Man dies in freak accident at train station.
A middle-aged man was killed when trying to board a moving train at the Witpoortjie train station this morning, 13 October.
According to eyewitnesses the man missed the step, causing him to fall onto the tracks next to the train.
It is alleged that the train dragged him a couple of metres, causing him to be dismembered. His body parts were scattered along the tracks.
Railway police, emergency response teams and other investigation officers arrived to examine the scene shortly after the tragedy.
