Agora club to host international weekend

MULDERSDRIFT – Ladies organisation to unite clubs from all over the world for an international weekend.

The Agora Club of South Africa will host an international weekend at Heia Safari Lodge from 9 to 12 October.

According to club member Beverley Patterson, the organisation was created for women who are above the maximum age required to be a member of the Ladies Circle Organisation.

“We are a club catering for ‘senior’ ladies from any other Ladies Circle Club and non-members are also welcome.”

She added that the international weekend is created around inviting other clubs to come and experience Africa and everything it has to offer.

“Clubs from Norway, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, USA, Madagascar and Botswana,” she listed.

Patterson explained that the guests will start off their African adventure with an elephant safari and a craft market tour on 9 October.

“Friday, the guests will explore the Lion and Rhino Park, after that we will be having a shebeen-styled welcome party so that the guests can get to know each other.”

She added that the main event the organisation will be having is the 18th Annual General Meeting which will take place on 11 October.

“The ladies’ partners will explore Soweto on (11 October) while the ladies are attending the AGM.”

She concluded and said the Agora members will depart on 12 October to their various destinations.
