Meekahefele Masooa, accused of shooting and killing motorcyclist Douglas Pearce in a road rage incident earlier this year, appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court today (30 September).
Magistrate Denis Smith has set the trial to run from 26 January to 13 February next year in the Johannesburg High Court. Smith extended Masooa’s R5 000 bail on the condition that he appeared in court at 8am on 26 January.
Pearce’s family and a group of leather-clad bikers also were in the court in the public gallery.
