Investigation underway after robbery at old-age home.

Police are looking for two robbers that tied up an elderly man at an old age home.

Police are looking for two suspects after they allegedly robbed a senior citizen at an old-age home in Florida on 21 September.

According to Captain Lydia Mtila- Dikolomela, the suspects tied up a 71-year-old man at the Donovan MacDonald Old Age Home and ransacked his apartment.

“The suspects took off with groceries worth more than R1 000, an undisclosed amount of cash and two cellphones.”

An investigation has been launched and a case of housebreaking and robbery has been opened at the Florida Police Station. The identity of the two suspects are still unknown.

The victim was not harmed during the ordeal and had minor scratches.

Police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward to the police station or call 011 831 7000.
