Rocking line-up this spring at Silverstar

MULDERSDRIFT - A spectacular entertainment line-up at Silverstar to put spring in your step in September and October.

Be sure not to miss out on sensational singing by one of South Africa’s famous singers Juanita du Plessis on 18 and 19 September at Silverstar Casino.

Born in Namibia and known for her hit single Ska-Rumba, Juanita is sure to set the stage on fire with her greatest hits.

Her singing career began in 1988 with her debut album Juanita that won her the Country Music Association Awards in Namibia as best singer, best songwriter and the Association’s Award for outstanding achievement.

You can also see Dowwe Dolla at the casino on 24 September.

Still interested in understanding why we should be paying tax? Then be sure to join the ditzy blonde who will share her deep, albeit erroneous, understanding of tax in her show Betaal Belasting.

Dowwe Dolla will take the audience on a roller-coaster ride that threatens to derail, because tax – as with whiskey – doesn’t have brakes.

The economy is tough and in order to save money, Dolla decides to do her own tax return this year.

This turns out to be complicated and nerveracking exercise and she decides to seek advice from experts in this field like Kenny Kunene, Arthur Brown and her cousin Kotie’s consultant Rashid van die Vlakte.

She shares handy tips, such as the best time to go through the rubbish bins of restaurants and rich folk in search of receipts that you can claim on your tax return, as well as how to make the squirrels in your garden dependants. Dowwe Dolla also decides to investigate who is actually in charge of the money she pays and makes a dinner date with the ambassador of China.

Riana Nel will be on stage on 24 October.

With songs that include elements of pop and country, this amazing songbird is set to wow Silverstar’s audience. Nel had firmly placed her roots in gospel music with the release of albums Oopmond, The Cure and Someone with Skin and won many awards including the Crescendo award in 2000.

Her latest album Die Moeite Werd has reached platinum status and continues to top South African music charts.

Riana has also starred in the Afrikaans movie ‘n Saak Van Geloof alongside co-star Robbie Wessels – the well-acclaimed South African singer, songwriter and comedian.

All shows start at 8pm and doors will be open at 7pm. To book your ticket visit www.silverstarcasino.co.za
