Maragon player secures a spot onto the Central West rugby team

Aerin Lombard (10) from Maragon Private Schools will represent his school and team as the new addition for the U12 Central West rugby team.

According to Maragon’s coach Kelvin Bekker, Aerin began playing in August this year and has taken part in three U11 matches during their Saturday tournaments, before leaping to the U12 team.

“Aerin is a great player with exceptional talent. He is hard working as a rugby player and team mate, and deserves his call-up to the Central West Squad.”

Currently, there is one U11 Central West team and they competed against other districts between 2 and 16 August to make it in the Golden Lions Red Squad.

The enthusiastic player said “It was really hard, but we played really well and I am happy that some of my friends made the red squad, and it has been a wonderful experience.”
