Shop for a good cause
With such a passionate shop assistant, who wouldn't want to stop by for a quick chat and a bargain?
Shoes, dresses, T-shirts, tableware, vases and linen are only a few of the offerings at the Dorcas Aid Charity Shop in Florida.
Shop assistant Paulina Matlala, who has been employed at the shop for the past four years, tells of the passion she has for her work at Dorcas Aid.
“It’s a different place because we do our work to the aid of impoverished and less fortunate people.
“If someone doesn’t have shoes, clothes or food we do our best to help them.
“The shop also offers good new and second-hand clothing for very reasonable prices.
“All the money made through this shop is used to make up food parcels that are distributed among people in need such as those in informal settlements.
“That’s why I do my work with such pride, I know it’s for a good cause.”
Items at the shop cost very little, which makes it accessible for anyone in need, but also for those who pursue a good bargain.
Visit the shop at the corner of Madeline Street and Third Avenue to discover its quaint and sincere offerings. For more information contact Nerine Niemand on 011 672 9669 or via email at fundraising@dorcas.co.za.
