Agapeland and Arrows of Destiny welcomed the warmer weather with their annual Spring competition and a friendly picnic in the school’s garden.
“Everyone was in a great mood at the thought of bidding the cold weather goodbye for a while,” explained deputy principal of Agapeland Joy de Saint-Pern.
She added that classes competed for the title of the best-decorated classroom. Students from South West Gauteng College had the very difficult task of judging the classes on their creativity. “The unique themes included the Fruit and Veg Garden, Rainbow Island, Spring Time in Alaska and Camping in the Tejuga Rainforest,” said De Saint-Pern.
The winners were rewarded for all their hard work with some fun prizes.
“It is such a fun time and it is so refreshing to see how children, parents and teachers worked together to create such a beautiful atmosphere,” she concluded.
