WELTEVREDEN PARK - Man who saved little girl rewarded for his good gesture.
Robert Sadiki, the man who saved a three-year-old from being beaten to death by her father is set to receive a Lead SA Hero of the Month award today.
Lead SA is an initiative that started in 2010, with the aim of encouraging active citizenry, by changing attitudes and proactively building a better society.
Sadiki was nominated by Weltevreden Park resident Kelli Hastie, who says she felt that Sadiki deserved recognition for the heroic step he took when he saved the little girl.
“This was a heartbreaking story and if it was not for Robert, the three-year-old could be deceased now,” explained Hastie, who says she lives down the road from where the incident took place.
Sadiki said the only thing he was concerned about is the little girl but he is grateful that Hastie nominated him to receive the Lead SA Hero of the Month Award
