The body of man was discovered this morning at the Witpoortjie Station.
It is alleged that the man was stabbed to death during the course of the night but this could not be confirmed. The victim was a white middle-aged male.
Members of the SAPS, Metro Rail and Forensic Pathology Services were on the scene and removed the body at approximately 8.40am.

if a crime is reported, with names being withheld, should the reporter or the police at least give a details on what he was wearing at the time of the crime. My friend was attack in the same area for his bicycle, could this be Him?
I am a regular train comuter *nd take the train every day also at Witpoortjie station it’s really sad that this happend I walked pased the body this morning to get to the other platform and it was not even covered. There’s no lights at the station and they need to look at that. About 2 months ago I myself was almost mug there at the station
One of my friends did not return home after a night out at a pub near by witpoortjie station, his phone is of, he wore a purple and black sweater, with jeans, short thin male in his early 50, brown short hair, we stay near witpoortjie station, could this be our friend.
