Girls prepared for adult life at CWSA Roodepoort

Girls who underwent an intense career programme graduated on Mandela Day.

Mandela Day celebrations coincided with girls’ graduation ceremony at Child Welfare South Africa Roodepoort.

On Friday 18 July girls graduated from a life-skills programme that they participated in at the Roodepoort branch.

“These girls underwent an intensive life-skills programme and will continue with mentorships that will prepare them for adult life,” says office manager Estelle Odendaal.

“Throughout the programme the girls’ career goals were identified and they were taught practical skills as well as paired up with suitable professionals from the industries of their choosing for mentorship.”

The event was attended by Woman of Substance Charlotte du Plessis as well as Miss Roodepoort Jessica van Heerden.
