Moriri extends stay at Sundowns
Surprise Moriri has extended his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mamelodi Sundowns have announced that veteran midfielder Surprise Moriri has signed a two-year extension at the club.
The 34-year-old, who has spent more than a decade at the Chloorkop club, played a pivotal part in the Brazilians’ title winning 2013/2014 season.
Moriri netted a number of vital goals towards the back end of last season as Sundowns overhauled Kaizer Chiefs to finally end their trophy drought.
The player’s experience was important to coach Pitso Mosimane’s side especially during the second half of last season
Moriri broke into top flight football with Silver Stars (later Platinum Stars) and has donned the Bafana Bafana jersey during a fabulous career.
