Hlatshwayo a ‘clever boy’ now

Thulani Hlatshwayo has received a warm welcome at Bidvest Wits.

Former Ajax Cape Town defender Thulani Hlatshwayo has revealed that he has settled in nicely at Bidvest Wits, claiming he has ‘found a new home’.

The towering 25-year-old agreed terms to join the Clever Boys back in January but only made a switch to Gavin Hunt’s side ahead of the new 2014/15 Absa Premiership season.

Hlatshwayo says things have been going well for him at Sturrock Park and that he is enjoying working under Hunt.

“The change has been good, the guys have welcomed me very well,” he revealed to AfricanFootball.

“I knew a lot of guys before I moved there, so I am happy. I have found a new home.

“Gavin has wanted me since he was at SuperSport and unfortunately Ajax wouldn’t allow me to go at the time. As soon as I got the opportunity again to work with him I went.

“I am really happy to work with him. He is a good coach and he brings the best out of the player – I am happy.”
