Dubai team visits Florida Cricket Club
The two teams challenged one another in a 40-overs match.
Last Saturday (5 July) the Florida Cricket Club hosted their first international guests.
UCT, a touring team from Dubai, joined them for a 40-overs match on Saturday. UCT won the toss and elected to bat first. By lunch time, they had tallied a score of 162 runs. The competition was tough but Florida’s batting line-up was strong enough to see them through, with Florida winning the match by two wickets in the 32nd over.
The club is looking forward to the 2014/ 2015 cricket season and has started their summer training and recruitment drive.
