AmaZulu’s Zambian has zeal for new team
Bornwell Mwape, AmaZulu's latest recruit is fitting in well.
Zambian international Bornwell Mwape says he is delighted with his move to AmaZulu and is hoping to have a great debut season in the Absa Premiership.
Mwape joined Usuthu from Zambian side Nchanga Rangers and says he is adapting well since joining his teammates for preseason training.
“The coach has welcomed me well and so far I’m enjoying the set up and the guys have been very good to me,” said Mwape. “It’s up to me to show them that I’m a good player.
“I’m very happy to be part of the team now although I’m still finding life new because I’ve only been in South Africa three times.
“I’m sure it’s going to be a good season for me, I’m prepared to work very hard to reward the faith shown by the team.”
Mwape scored 13 goals in all competitions for Rangers during the FAZ/MTN 2013 season and found the back of the net five times for Chipolopolo.
He also scored six goals for Rangers during the first half of the 2014 season before departing to join Usuthu.
