Cito rocks into his 40th year

JOBURG - How would you celebrate your 40th birthday? Clearly, a thumping rock show is the only answer if you're WONDERboom's Cito.

It’s not every man who gets to perform in a live rock act featuring WONDERboom and the Graeme Watkins Project for their 40th birthday bash.

But it’s different for WONDERboom frontman and Roosevelt Park resident Cito Otto, who wants to rock into his 40th year.

Cito and his legendary band will be returning to the West Rand where WONDERboom began 18 years ago, celebrating at Rumours Lounge in Weltevreden Park on Friday, 18 July.

“Ideas have been flying around about how to celebrate my 40th and what could be a better way than doing what I love most – performing with my WONDERbrothers in the West Rand,” Cito said.

“Sharing the stage with The Graeme Watkins Project is something we’ve been meaning to do for ages and so I am happy that it’s at my birthday party! It’s a perfect 40th!”

Audiences will be treated to both bands’ unforgettable hits, with Rixie Campbell opening the evening. Hip hoppers Big EP and L.M.S will bring the night to a thumping conclusion.

Entrance fee is R60, and the show kicks off at 8.30pm.
